OEP Retinoscopy Set

Flipper set with included acrylic holder. These four flippers have been the flipper powers of choice used by the OEP Clinical Curriculum instructors. This set has been specifically selected with near retinoscopy in mind. Many of the procedures call for binocularly balanced lenses to be placed in front of the patient’s eyes during the testing. The powers most often needed are in this set.

One handle has a pair of +0.50 on one side and a pair of +0.75 on the other. The second handle has matched pairs of +1.00 and +1.25 lenses. The third pair includes matched pairs of +1.50 and +1.75 while the fourth pair is the ubiquitous +2.00 and -2.00 flipper used by many for accommodative rock testing. In some instances with hyperopes you can combine two of the flippers to quickly have +3.50 spheres to use in front of their eyes without having to take the time to break out your trial lens set.

The lenses are durable and will last for years. Includes attractive holder.

MFBF (monocular fixation in a binocular field) Matching Game -- SPANISH

The MFBF Matching Game was developed as an exercise activity for use in all aspects of vision therapy. The goal of this activity is to serve as a bridge from monocular to binocular activities, improving efficiency of the patient’s use of accommodative and binocular systems. This game offers 7 levels of exercises based on the age and capability of the patient.

It employs children’s symbols, numbers, and three matrices of words with a choice of English or Spanish versions.

The MFBF procedure stresses the use of one eye at a time; thus the work is "monocular." At the same time, the procedure calls for both eyes to be open, seeing at the same time; thus the work is done in a "binocular field." This is accomplished by using anaglyphic (Red/Green) material to allow the patient to use both eyes to see while only one eye can see a central target, either what is depicted on the game Tile or the Transparent Matrix. Successfully matching the Tile to the correct position on the Transparent Matrix then requires the patient to use both eyes and not to suppress, as the eye viewing through the green filter would be able to see the red printing on the Tile (symbols, numbers or letter) and the eye viewing through the red filter would be able to see the black print on the red
mounted Transparent Matrix.

Ease of Use:
Each MFBF Matching Game set includes a display tray. The tray holds the seven sets of Tiles upright for easy access. It also holds the seven Transparent Matrices upright for selection. The Skeleton and the Red Suppression Backing are magnetized to hold the sheets together for easy placement of the Tiles. The tray has a cover which keeps everything in its place for transport.

Verification:
All words verified as appropriate for the grade level listed with according to Flesch-Kincaid for
both English and Spanish.

$1,250.00

This NEW instrument incorporates two units into one - RPM-1 Tabletop Pegboard Instrument and Distance Rotator training and testing option for up to 25 Feet. Used for training and testing. Viewing angle of the disc can be adjusted from 0-90 Degrees.

The unit can operate 0-100 RPM when it is used as RPM –1, Rotation Pegboard machine and will operate 0-50 RPM for remote operation. A special “Mounting Support Disc” was designed to to hold the large rotator discs securely while rotating. This instrument was designed with safety in mind by using a safety (NO) switch on the hand held controller. The switch must be held during the training/testing. While holding the remote controller, if the finger is removed from the safety switch, the rotation of the disc will stop immediately. Once the two switches on the side of the instrument are put into “ON” position, the direction of rotation and the speed are controlled by the remote handheld controller. The rotation speed can be observed on the front panel of the main instrument.

Includes: Instrument; Pegboard disc; 30 Pegs (10 Red/10 Green/10 White); Mounting Support Disc for 18” Rotation Targets (targets sold separately) – includes screws and Allen wrench, remote handheld controller with 25 foot cable. Power required 120 Volts AC, 60Hz.
